At Speak Out, our Debate Class is designed to help students develop critical thinking, communication skills, and the confidence to express their ideas in English. Through engaging discussions and age-appropriate debate topics, students learn how to share opinions, support their ideas with reasons, and respectfully listen to different perspectives. Primary Students – Learning to Express Opinions with Confidence Our Primary students begin by learning useful expressions and sentence structures for agreeing, disagreeing, and giving personal opinions. They practice these skills through fun and familiar topics that encourage participation and creativity, such as: These enjoyable discussions help young learners become more confident speakers. As the course progresses, students actively volunteer their ideas, respond to their classmates, and feel increasingly comfortable expressing themselves in English. Secondary Students – Developing Critical Thinking Through Debate For our Secondary students, debates become more challenging and thought-provoking. They explore a wide range of real-world topics, from issues that relate directly to student life to broader social and academic discussions. Some of the topics include: By researching, organizing their thoughts, and defending their viewpoints, students strengthen their reasoning skills while improving their English fluency. More importantly, they learn to communicate with confidence, respect different opinions, and think critically about the world around them. Our Debate Class is more than just speaking English – it’s about helping students become confident communicators, independent thinkers, and active participants in meaningful conversations.
Professional Training Session at Toong Embassy
At Speak Out, we believe that continuous learning is essential for providing the best educational experience for our students. SpeakOut – A Happy School, Happy Teachers, Happy Students, Happy Learning
SpeakOut has been built and developed as a truly open, inclusive, and supportive environment where everyone – including students, teachers, and staff – feels confident and comfortable to speak their thoughts out. That is also where the name “SpeakOut” comes from: a place where every voice matters and everyone feels heard, respected, and valued. At SpeakOut, we strongly believe that a happy school creates better education and contributes to sustainable development for both students and educators. When students feel happy, safe, respected, and motivated, they learn more effectively, develop stronger confidence, and build a lifelong love for learning. At the same time, when teachers and staff feel supported and appreciated, they are able to grow professionally and create even more positive impacts on students and the community. That is why our classrooms and teaching strategies always prioritize students’ happiness and joy first in order to build up their love for language, especially with a foreign language like English. Through a large variety of activities, games, projects, art and crafts, presentations, and interactive lessons, students gradually build their confidence in all four English skills: Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening. Students are often happy right after their very first trial lesson at SpeakOut, and they continue bringing that excitement to class every day. Some of them even want to come to class on the days they are not supposed to. To many students, SpeakOut is not only an English center or a school, but also a safe, joyful, and welcoming place where they can truly be themselves. For teachers and staff, SpeakOut is also a happy workplace. We do not look for each other’s mistakes, but for each other’s growth and celebrate it together. We celebrate small wins, support one another, and are never afraid to share our own ideas. That is how SpeakOut continues growing every day as a Happy School for sustainable and meaningful education.
