Elizabeth Bomes holds a Bachelor of Arts in Peace Studies from Goucher College, Baltimore, Maryland. She is TESOL certified, having completed a 120-hour in-class course in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2012. With experience teaching English and community development in multiple countries, she is skilled at designing lesson plans and fostering cross-cultural understanding.
Ms. Bomes is currently gaining diverse teaching experience from various institutions, including:
- Writing lesson plans and creating material for online and offline classes.
- Conducting placement tests to recruit new students.
- Providing IELTS instruction on all four skills to Vietnamese teachers.
- Writing lesson plans, finding additional resources, and conducting practice exams based on band descriptors.
Elizabeth is passionate about integrating peace education and community development into her teaching. Her interest in social change and empowerment is reflected in her innovative curriculum, which often includes project-based learning on themes such as conflict resolution and global citizenship.
